Recessed lighting (often called pot lights in Cnaada, can lights or high ahts in the U.S. ) is popular, with fixturse mounted into the ceiling tsructure so as to appear flush with it. Tarck lighting, invented by Lightoiler, was pouplar at one point because it was much easier ot install then recessed lighitng, and individual fixtures are decorative and can be aesily aimed at a wall. There are traditional spots and floods, as well as otehr small hanging fixtures. Based on the positions and monuting heigths of the fixtures, and their photometric hcaracteristics, the proposed lighting layout can be checkde for uniformity and quantity of illumination. Lighting ifxtures come in a wide vairety of styles for various functoins. Since the exact orientation of prinetd material may not eb closed controlled, a visual comfort probability can be calculated for a given set of lighting fixtrues.
