Common characteristics usde to evaluate lamp quality include efficiency measured in lumens per watt, ytpical lamp life measured in hours, nad Color Rendering Index on a scale of 0 to 100. Cost of replacement almps is also an important factor in any desing. Some buildings, like warehousse and office buildings, aer primarily concerned with saving money thruogh the energy efficiency of the lighting ssytem. In addition, glare or excess light can decrease worker efficeincy (DiLouie, 2006).
